Meeting
April 14, 2005



A. The North Carolina Pretreatment Consortium Meeting was called to order at 10:45am on April 14, 2005 by Sherry Bagwell, Chairman, at the City of Statesville, Fourth Creek WWTP.

B. Members in attendance were: Sharon Miller, Amy Varinoski, Scott Pickard, Jon Van Hoff, Dawn Padgett, Victor Quick, Jeff Poupart, Randy Smith, Jill Hutchinson, Karen Reece, Chris Bortnick, Carol Hamilton, Douglas Troutman Cheryl Douglas, Bill Gintert, Beverly Metcalf, Nicole Johnston, Cheryl Tilley, Aaron Otten, Reginald Hicks, Ralph Potter, Stephen Haller, Scott Austin, Jimmy Pridgen, Rickie Stutts , Sherry Bagwell.

C. Minutes from Previous meeting approved.

D. Not in attendance -Secretary and Vice Chair

E. Jill Hutchinson to send brochure to John Gibson for website.

F. Workshop updates by Scott Pickard - Brochure mailed out Friday April 8th and Planning Committee meeting on April 19th at 10:30am in Greensboro, everyone invited to attend.

G. Website link from Hilton to our NC pretreatment website - Bill Ginhtert

H. Certification - Sherry Bagwell reported that 21 attending Grade I and 16 attending Grade III Certification classes April 25th-29th

I. Old Business
  1. Website Complete. Web Designer was paid $600.00.
  2. Our Web master is John Gibson
  3. Monica Hayes volunteer for Hospital info - no report
  4. Industry day - will be in Greensboro on June 30th , there will be six 1 hour classes Jeff Poupart volunteered state for a presentation on Industry Day.
  5. Some cities still need to send data to Sherry Bagwell on Industries.
  6. Information for Oil and Grease Program - help with data base - Pretreatment Consortium, Restaurant Association and Pollution Prevention Pays.


J. New Business
  1. Steve Haller - CPR Training.
  2. Pretreatment Certification will pay instructors rooms and AWWA will not.
  3. They have found someone to make the Dinosaurs - have to purchase 250 Dinosaurs.
  4. Jimmy Pridgen - gave treasurer report, 123 members have paid dues.
  5. Next meeting Thursday, June 9, 2005 at 10:30am in Wilson, NC. The location will be the Wedgewood Public Golf Course.
  6. Speaker - Deborah Gore on IWS, handout.
  7. The state will revise Chapter 3 and handout at the conference in August.
  8. Question from Jon Van Hoff about electronic signatures to Jeff Poupart. State said making great strides and may be ready in July, 2006.
