William (Bill) Gintert is currently the Pretreatment Program Compliance Specialist for the Charlotte Mecklenburg Utilities Commission. He has been employed with Charlotte for 8 years and holds a Grade III Pretreatment Specialist Certification.

Bill has held or participated in the following:

• Chairman for Local Arrangements in 2005
• Chairman of the NC Pretreatment Consortium in 2003
• Western Vice-Chairman of the NC-PC in 2002

• Chairman of the Proposed Metal Products and Machinery Regulations Committee in 2001
• Teaches Pretreatment Certification Classes
• Active in the Conference Planning Committee for many years

Bill has made significant contributions to the NC-PC. His enthusiasm and vision for the North Carolina Pretreatment Consortium has earned him this award.
