Presented to Martie Groome 2003 PEER AWARD RECIPIENT IN RECOGNITION OF YOUR OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE NC-PC AND THE FIELD OF INDUSTRIAL PRETREATMENT Martie has participated and/or provided comments to the following: Proposed Metal Products and Machinery Regulations Meat and Poultry Products Regulations Pretreatment Certification (Martie has provided many hours on the development and implementation of this program) Active in the Conference Planning Committee for many years Active in the NC AWWA/WEA Laboratory Analyst Committee Teaches at the Annual Wastewater School One of the original founders of the NC-PC Martie continues to help keep the Consortium active in all pretreatment issues. In 2003 she applied and received funding from EPA Region 4 to hold a Mercury Meeting in North Carolina. The NC-PC sponsored this program with EPA Region 4. Martie’s untiring efforts and devotion to the improvement of the pretreatment program has earned her our respect and this award.
